Brings Out Artists' Best

    Senior art student Ashley Dakin won the first prize of $500 in the "Spirit of America" art contest sponsored by the White Cloud VFW Post 2053 and the Purple Heart Veterans.
    Second place and a prize of $300 went to Alisa Walter, while Melissa Brisbin took third place honors and a prize of $200.

 

     Students were allowed to complete their entries in watercolor, charcoal, pastels, pen and ink, tempera or acrylic.  Contest judges were Ray Larson, Gene Reid and Robert Auw.
     The winning entries are on display at the high school art room.
