WELCOME TO OUR FARM

We are the Stack family from Newaygo, Michigan.  We have a small farm and a lot of fun raising Boer goats in West Michigan. We have been raising goats since 2004 and we became owners of Boer goats in 2006.  We are active in 4-H and are members of the American Boer Goat Association.  Currently we are raising registered full blood Boer goats, percentage Boer goats and a few show wethers for our local 4-H and FFA youth.  Our goal is to raise strong, healthy, quality Boer goats that will perform in or out of the showring.

We have built this website to serve as an introduction to our farm.  If you are interested in quality Boer goats at a fair price or just have a question feel free to send us an email.

Various pictures from around our farm

I am Lisa and the pictures you will find on this site are of my babies. I believe in a lot of hands on attention so if I am not at work I can usually be found in the pasture.  I am a lot better at this type of work than I am at building websites!

This is our youngest son Kyle.  He can usually be found in the pasture with Mom playing with all the four legged friends.

This is our son Travis.  He is helping out with the evening chores by feeding this little Pygmy doe.  She is our first bottle baby and we are having a great time taking care of her.  We have become very attached to this one!

This is our buck "Billie"

Billie is a registered 100% full blood Boer.

Included in his bloodlines are great animals such as Top Gun 2 and Eggspensive.  There are five ennoblements total on his papers.

Billie is a total sweetheart and his attitude is a big reason why we now raise Boer goats.  In our minds he's the best!!

This is one of our bucklings.  He is pictured here at about 5 weeks old and already weighing in at 33 lbs.

This big boy will be making his debut at the Newaygo County Agricultural Fair as a Junior Buck.

Earlier this year Kyle and I made the trip down to Cassopolis, MI to watch the Michigan Youth Open Boer Show that was hosted by the Michigan Boer Goat Association.  Our goal for this trip was to "watch and learn" and hopefully bring some new knowledge home to put to good use.  We had no idea what to expect when we got there, but we are so glad we made the trip!

Thanks to the Dempsey family from Bath, MI Kyle was able to get some "first hand" knowledge by helping them out in a Market Wether class.  This is an experience he will never forget and one that he can't wait to try again next year with his own project.

I have posted this picture because we are always looking for something to make life a little easier, both for ourselves and our goats.  This is one of our newest additions, we have placed this unusual shelter in our buck pen to help with shade issues and boredom.  They can climb on it, rub on it, and what they seem to like the most - lay under it to keep the hot afternoon sun off of them.

In the spring we plan on adding another pasture to make room for more babies!!  We may not be the biggest or fanciest farm around but we believe that the animals found here are well cared for and well... spoiled (at least according to my husband and my vet).  Like I said earlier, these are my babies!

Thank you for visiting us on line.  we hope that your visit has been enjoyable!

As time goes on I will be posting pictures of new babies, our summer experiences, etc. so please check back from time to time to see what else we are up to.
